Loren started working in newspapers in 1978 as a staff photographer and has worked for newspapers in Indiana, Ohio and New Jersey, plus USA Today.

In 1995 Loren left newspapers for seven years to start Elf Multimedia, which produces video, audio, photo and interactive projects. He is digital editor www.MyCentralJersey.com, the Web site for the Courier News and Home News Tribune.


Loren has published two photography books: "Pope John Paul II: An American Celebration" which documented the papal visit to New York, New Jersey and Baltimore and "Branson Backstage" which looks at the phenomenon of 35 live music theaters in Branson, Missouri.


Loren, who likes most people, lives in Somerville, N.J. with his wife, Robin Gaby Fisher, Woof the cat, Sophie the wonder pup and Zian, who barks too much.
